Robert's Lake Water Aerodrome - CRL8

Water Aerodrome supplement in reference only statement.

The Robert's Lake Water Aerodrome (CRL8) is our float plane base which is connected to the Airport via private access road. Robert's Lake is an active recreational lake. Please respect all legitimate uses of the lake and promote a safe and enjoyable environment! If you require access to the Robert's Lake dock and ramp, please contact a member of the Airport team for approval and access.

Runway Information

Approaches

The Parry Sound Airport's asphalt runway is currently 4,900 feet long and 100 feet wide with a 290' by 320' asphalt apron. 

Lighting

Medium-intensity airfield lighting controlled by K-ARCAL on 122.8 and a Precision Approach Path Indicator (PAPI) for Runway 35. 17-(TE ME), 35-(TE ME) P1 3.5" ARCAL - 122.8 type J (also abn).

Fuel

Our fuel station is located on the south side of our apron. Our fuel facilities are available 24/7, 365 days a year. Scheduled hours of operation are listed on our Airport Homepage. After hours call-outs can be arranged by contacting Airport Manager Neil Pirie at 705-378-2897 or 705-346-1583. 

Available fuels are Jet A-1 with PRIST and 100LL AVgas. Various aviation oils are available at our fuel desk.

Border Services

The Parry Sound Area Municipal Airport is an Airport of Entry (AOE/CAN) designed for CANPASS - private & corporate permit holders. CANPASS Corporate Aircraft and CANPASS Private Aircraft are programs that speed up border crossings for frequent, low-risk, pre-approved travelers from the United States into Canada

  • All travelers aboard the aircraft, including the crew, must be CANPASS program members.
  • The aircraft cannot carry more than 15 people.

CANPASS members can land at an AOE (Airport of Entry) anytime the airport is open for landing. 24/7, regardless of the hours of the local CBSA office.

As of March 1st, 2024, the Parry Sound Area Municipal Airport has been providing enhanced Canadian border services. The Canadian Border Services Agency (CBSA) will provide services for transborder traffic for up to 15 persons per flight. Prior notice is required and must be scheduled during CBSA hours of operation.
