The Township of Seguin is governed by an elected Council consisting of a Mayor and six Councillors. Members of Council are currently serving a four-year term (2022 - 2026) and were elected on October 24, 2022.

Code of Conduct
The Township of Seguin Code of Conduct was created to provide guidelines to the Head of Council and Members of Council to assist with the orderly decision making process and obligations of Council.
Council-Staff Relations Policy
As of March 1, 2019, amendments to Section 270 of the Municipal Act, 2001 require the Municipality to adopt and maintain a policy with respect to the relationship between Members of Council and the Officers and Staff of the Municipality.
