To promote civic engagement and assist Council in its deliberations, Committees are established by Council to study specific issues or areas of interest and provide advice to Council for consideration.

Each term of Council, citizens are appointed by Council to various Boards and Committees. At the start of Council's term, interested individuals are invited to volunteer their time and experience to participate on such Boards and Committees dealing with a variety of matters that affect the community.
